This company initially hired Marc Watson individually as its Chief Executive in February, 2003 shortly before it filed for bankruptcy protection. He proceeded to stabilize operations and sell various business units to strategic partners maximizing the recovery for creditors, while preparing to liquidate other ancillary real estate and inventory.
In March, 2003 our firm was retained to manage the divestiture of Wellington's profitable hunting cover scent division, a situation complicated by licensing, intellectual property, and bankruptcy issues. After a successful auction the sale closed in February, 2004.
